PDGF Treatments

PDGF Treatments
Advanced Regeneration. Natural Results. Science-Backed Skin and Hair Renewal.
At Bare Radiance Aesthetics in Broomfield, CO, we believe in offering the most advanced regenerative treatments backed by science—and PDGF (Platelet-Derived Growth Factor) is one of the most exciting breakthroughs in aesthetic medicine today. Safe, powerful, and completely needle-free when used topically, PDGF is revolutionizing how we approach skin rejuvenation, undereye restoration, and non-surgical hair regrowth.
Whether you’re a skincare enthusiast in search of a powerful post-treatment booster, or you’re looking for a natural alternative to injectable fillers or botulinum toxin for volume loss, PDGF delivers visible improvements through cellular-level healing—without the need for a blood draw.
What Is PDGF
Platelet-Derived Growth Factor is a naturally occurring protein released by platelets during the body’s wound-healing process. It plays a vital role in:
-Cell growth and division
-Fibroblast activation and collagen remodeling
-Angiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels)
-Tissue repair, including the skin, scalp, and soft tissue
PDGF stimulates the regenerative pathways that improve hydration, boost elastin, and rebuild the extracellular matrix—making it ideal for facial rejuvenation, volume restoration, and scalp regeneration.
Unlike PRP or PRF, PDGF used at Bare Radiance is lab-purified and pharmaceutical-grade, meaning it contains up to 300,000x more growth factor concentration than standard blood-derived solutions. Best of all, there’s no blood draw required.

Benefits of PDGF Treatments
Whether injected or applied topically after treatments like microneedling or laser, PDGF offers a wide range of skin and hair benefits:
Accelerated healing and reduced redness post-treatment
Increased collagen and elastin production for firmer, more hydrated skin
Improved skin tone and texture, with fewer fine lines and smaller pores
Restored undereye volume with fewer dark circles and smoother texture
Thicker, denser hair growth when used for scalp rejuvenation
No allergy risk – PDGF is biocompatible and free from synthetic materials
PDGF is also a fantastic option for clients who are not candidates for Botox, dermal fillers, or platelet-based therapies due to medical history, autoimmune disorders, or concerns about allergy, injection site pain, or systemic reactions.

How PDGF Is Used at Bare Radiance
We offer PDGF in three primary formats—each designed to support specific skin or hair concerns.
1. Topical PDGF After Microneedling or Laser
Microneedling and Moxi laser create microchannels in the epidermis, making it the perfect time to apply PDGF topically. The growth factor penetrates deeper into the dermis, speeding up healing, reducing edema, and delivering an unmatched glow. It’s an ideal enhancement for clients seeking minimal downtime and maximum results.
Best for: Glow-boosting, texture refinement, fine line smoothing
Downtime: None to minimal
Comfort level: No injection, no discomfort
2. PDGF Injections for Undereye Rejuvenation
The under-eye area is one of the most delicate and complex zones to treat. PDGF offers a non-filler alternative for patients with thin skin or volume loss in the tear trough region. It restores hydration, improves skin thickness, and minimizes the appearance of dark circles and fine wrinkles—without puffiness or the risk of lump formation.
Best for: Patients who are filler-sensitive or want a natural result
Downtime: Mild swelling or bruising may occur
Comfort level: Moderate; numbing available
3. Scalp PDGF for Hair Restoration
Thinning hair doesn’t always need drastic intervention. When injected into the scalp, PDGF stimulates dormant hair follicles, improves blood circulation, and encourages cellular regeneration. It is particularly effective in early-stage hair thinning, or for clients not responding well to PRP, minoxidil, or laser combs.
Best for: Androgenetic alopecia, postpartum shedding, hairline recession
Downtime: Minimal
Comfort level: Moderate; numbing available
What to Expect from Your PDGF Appointment
Before Your Treatment:
We begin with a consultation to evaluate your skin, scalp, or undereye concerns. We’ll review your medical history, including any conditions like pregnancy, blepharospasm, autoimmune disease, or cancer history, to determine candidacy.
During the Session:
Depending on your selected PDGF service, we’ll either apply the serum topically or inject it using precision techniques. The entire session typically takes 30–60 minutes.
Aftercare:
You may experience slight redness, tightness, or tenderness, especially if paired with microneedling or laser therapy. Most clients resume normal activities immediately.

FAQ
How is PDGF different from PRF or PRP?
PDGF is a purified growth factor produced in a lab, which means it has a much higher concentration than PRF or PRP—without requiring a blood draw. It also offers more consistent results and fewer variables.
Is PDGF safe for sensitive or allergic skin types?
Yes. PDGF contains no foreign or allergenic material. It is considered safe for sensitive skin and patients with allergies, autoimmune conditions, or those avoiding synthetic ingredients.
How soon will I see results?
Initial improvements in hydration, firmness, and texture can appear within 1–2 weeks. More significant changes, especially in volume or hair density, occur over a series of treatments.
Can PDGF be combined with other procedures?
Absolutely. We often pair PDGF with microneedling, laser therapy, and even dermal fillers to enhance results and support healing. It’s part of our layered treatment philosophy.
Does PDGF require any downtime?
Most patients experience little to no downtime. If combined with other procedures, you may experience mild redness or swelling for 1–3 days.
Is PDGF Right for You
PDGF is an excellent option for patients who want:
-Consistent results without the variability of PRP or PRF
-A non-surgical, science-backed regenerative solution
-A natural boost in skin quality, hair density, or volume
-To avoid botulinum toxin, fillers, or synthetic injectables
We do not recommend PDGF if you:
-Have active skin infections or cold sores
-Are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
-Are undergoing cancer treatment or have a recent history of skin cancer
-Require immediate or dramatic results—PDGF works gradually and naturally
